A small survey by a grad student at University of Texas at San
Antonio has revealed that women with tattoos are perceived as more promiscuous,
which is — yep! — deeply irritating [ABC/KSAT].
211 people were shown four photos of the same woman with no
tattoo, a skull and crossbones, a butterfly and a rose. Researcher Lisa Oakes
describes the results: "When she had a tattoo, she was rated as looking
like she... she might be more receptive to sex without a committed
relationship. She looked like she had lower standards of partner selectivity,
and she looked like she had a higher sex drive then the girl without the
tattoo."
Gross. I bet if a study of men with and without tattoos was
done, they'd rate him as being "more receptive to being awesome."
